Maxine founded the KIMMAX German Wirehaired Pointer kennels in 1989. She is passionate and knowledgeable about all aspects of the breed and training young dogs – her experience covers showing, field trials and working tests.
Devoted to her dogs, Maxine has vast experience in the breed, its bloodlines and its history in the UK and played a major role in campaigning for the vWD DNA test to be adopted by the GWP Club as a mandatory health test.
Maxine serves on the GWP Club Committee as the breed Health Co-ordinator.
Peter’s passion is training dogs for the field, starting with his first HPR, a Large Munsterlander called ‘Ben’ in 1980. Peter shoots over our dogs and has competed in Germany and UK field assessments. He has also won numerous Open working tests and field trial awards and the only person from the UK ever to compete at the VDD (German Breed Club) International Hegewald, having done so 4 times.
Peter serves on the GWP Club Committee as the Chairman and Membership Secretary.
